Moscow Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD)

In Graphic Design Studio, the course was focused on visual communication design and problem solving in the community environment. The Moscow Volunteer Fire Department Station 3 came to our class with a request to
re-brand their station. This was a group project where I helped come up with the design and created all of the apparel and helmet mockups.
My group wanted to use a numeral three instead of the traditional number three because it held more symbolism for us. While it not only represents the station, it also holds imagery of looking like pillars to represent the volunteers in rescue, fire, and EMS. These numerals also look like the letter ‘I’ to represent how this station is based in Idaho. The design is also versatile in its use of a circle border depending on the station’s needs.
This was my first introduction to client interaction, pitching design ideas and concepts, and production preparation.
